Dishonour

A father and brother have been given life sentences for “honour” killing a 16 year old family member.

The girl, originally from Pakistan but then living in Canada, didn’t want to wear her hijab or traditional clothes and brought further shame to her father by wanting to indulge in other nasty Western habits like getting a part-time job or choosing her own husband.

It astounds me how a father and brother who puport to care for their child/sister could do something so despicable.

These people are beneath contempt, my knee jerk reaction is “hang em & hang em high” but no, these evil critters deserve a life long stretch with all the sweet sweet lovin that a con with no parole can give.

I wish them ill, may they burn in hell and their religion be consigned to the dustbin of history………..asshats

    • That exchange we all had a while back at Tizona, where I tried to be nice, changed my tolerance level a fair bit.

However, there are moderates out there, I’ve met them, and have little problem with them. That said, the YouTube Smackdown link is here to stay.

Bing O/T but have been trying to see where I could put this, “BER is a success, inquiry chief Brad Orgill says”. [Anthony Klan, The Australian !9/6/2010].
This inquiry is nothing more then a farce, Brad Orgill is an insider with the Rudd Labor Government, and has NOT questioned a whole group of people who indeed have all the facts.
This so-called inquiry has cost $14 million and for what?

    • And for what? So Julia can shit on to Red Kerry and get away with it… and continue getting away with because almost no one in the MSM is covering this scandal properly. What do we do when even Andrew Bolt has this annoying soft spot for her?

      • Bingbing, I keep hearing the bit about AB having a soft spot for Joooolia, but can’t see it. Too many bloggers are saying it, but I can’t see the evidence. Got a link or something to educate moi?
        Ta.

        • Happy to oblige. This column really set it off.

          http://blogs.news.com.au/heraldsun/andrewbolt/index.php/heraldsun/comments/column_why_the_right_loves_this_lady_of_the_left/

And then we never really see AB attacking or scrutinising Julia. Take the BER for example.

        • Another recent example is on yesterday’s Insiders. Julia could have been hammered about the BER but wasn’t.

You are right bing, but gosh do I see red [and I don't mean her hair] every time that I think she is getting away with the huge waste of taxpayers money, on buildings that should not have cost that much. Then to read that “School blowouts win cash bonuses” [by Anna Patty EDUCATION EDITOR, 16/6/2010 smh].
In short, “A CONSTRUCTION contractor is to receive more than $1 million in bonus payments, despite running almost $7 million over cost on building projects at more than 130 primary schools in NSW,” That group? The Reed Group.

      Hi Merilyn;

The MSM have been slow to pick up on the BER but in the end the truth will come out.

There are too many unhappy campers out there (both builders and schools), eventually someone in the MSM will try to properly investigate it and then joolya will have to answer some difficult questions.

    • Isn’t Reed a big sponsor of Alan Jones’ show? Is that why he’s so quiet on all of this?

Hi Carpe, good to hear from you. Do hope you are right about the MSM, because she certainly has been lucky [if you can call it that] so far, I do hear tell that some schools have been told to, ahh, how can I put this, ah yes, to shut-up!
