I’d guess it is a word of mouth arrangement. I mean, if I were in the market to uproot my life and head to another Country, and I couldn’t read or write; I’d ask someone for help and advice. Right?
Just because they may be illiterate (which is presumptuous in itself), doesn’t mean they are totally stupid individuals. Also, the refugees are coming from many Countries (Afgan, Iran, Iraq, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, etc.). It is no coincidence they are deciding to suddenly come to Australia on leaky boats via Indonesia.
