Don’t let the door hit you on the way out, Julia Gillard

There is no possible way any rational person could see the prime minister Julia Gillard’s hold on power as in any way tenable.

This is in relation to bogus bank accounts she set up when she was Partner at law firm Slater and Gordon on behalf of her then boyfriend Bruce Wilson, Victoria AWU secretary.

Hundreds of thousands of dollars were syphoned from union membership fees, funds which bought Wilson a house, and renovated Gillard’s.

That Gillard says she was “young and naive” is nonsense. A Partner in any law firm is never naive. And let’s face it, Gillard was banging Wilson at the time; she had to know.

Now former bagman for the AWU Ralph Blewitt is about to spill the beans – if he can get police protection.
Police protection: it is that serious.

Click.

PS Perhaps Glenn Milne and Michael Smith, journalists who exposed this foetid mess, can have their jobs back soon.

She is of the type of politician that is held to a much lower standard. So it’s possible she can survive. Democrats in the US have survived worst things. Of course Republicans have been held accountable for a lot less. Look for her to survive, if Australia is anything like the US.

    • Unfortunately, it’s hard to disagree with that.

Here is the interview series with Michael Smith conducted by “CANdoAustralia”.

“From the AWU to the HSU, millions of dollars of unions members funds have been stolen.

There have been no prosecutions, no Royal Commissions, and with the AWU – the media has been gagged.

Now Michael Smith – a commentator courageous enough to put his job on the line – has been interviewed by CANdo, uncovering the scandal which has engulfed the trade union movement in Australia.”

Watch these in order below. This is not going to go away because the story is so huge. Gillard is obviously complicit in her part both at the time and in the threats to the media more recently to keep the story out of the mainstream media. The media have to go on the attack now to protect Freedom of the Press in this Country. Gillard has left them no choice.

BB, can you please clean this post up when you get a moment. The Links are all good but something has gone wrong (I think because of the line breaks in each? Not sure).

It doesn’t really matter as all the interviews will play in auto order at YouTube from the first if you have autoplay turned on.
So you can just delete all the other links if you like.

      • When I get home. Just had a two hour Thai massage. Ahhhhh…

Hi Merilyn, I have been missing you here. Sorry to hear about your Mum. I hope her passing was peaceful and dignified. 90 was certainly quite an achievement. Wow!

Still, it is sad when loved ones leave us. Hope you’re doing okay.
      Big hug.

  1. I remember as a kid visiting my uncle who lived just outside Adelaide and we took the train into the city. When we got there we could have just walked out but he insisted we buy our tickets. I asked him why and he said if we didn’t then that’s the beginning of the break down of society.

  2. On a side note, what’s better than a cat and a laser pointer? TWO cats and a laser pointer… and reflective surfaces.

Did you know cats can pant just like dogs do?

Of course people won’t claw your curtains or take a dump in your shoes if you upset them.

        Or will they? ;)

bing, hope you, Sean and Carpe see this article.

“Secret Labor Election ‘Fighting Fund”, with staff being “asked”to contribute $10.00 a fortnight”.

The twitch at the back of the neck started to tingle, read on and then felt like it was starting to sound familar, looked at the Wilson thing and yep sure enough it was familar, wonder if this is going into a “secret bank account”, Kabul on Piers blog put it up.
