AWU sellouts

Well good on AWU boss, young pup Paul Howes, selling out his own members.

ALP pre-selection? How about his credibility?

It has been completely shot.

Let’s not beat around the bush. Everyone knows we basically have the environmentalists vs those who produce stuff and power Australia.

And those environmentalists want to destroy all that.

Somehow singing Kumbahyah to wind and solar. Won’t work. Do the math.

And, well, it’s almost as if Howes has taken an each-way bet, but really he has just shown himself up as a dud MP wannabe.

He’s sided with the carbon (dioxide!) tax brigade, a brigade hell bent on the destruction of the very industry, our steel makers, that Howes claims he represents.

Is Howes really stupid or naive enough to buy into that compensation garbage?

It seems so.

Let’s face it. We all know if this had been a Coalition government imposing this unelected tax upon the nation – a tax that will make no difference to world temperatures – there’d be strikes, marches on the streets, the lot.

You know it. I know it. We all know it.

No wonder Gillard, after a disastrous day in the shopping centres, certainly didn’t let a camera anywhere near the inside of Australia’s biggest power station as she plied simplistic and inaccurate platitudes on its workers.

And yet we see today even more fluff and platitudes spewed out by those who profess straight talk.

Well here’s some straight talk.

A truckies blockade.

A roadtrain down to Canberra.

The workers acting, protecting their trade… all whilst the unions that are supposed to be there to protect them, betray them.
