Face-off

What a mess.

Global warming…climate change… dangerous climate change… carbon pollution… clean energy future

  1. Hi,
Oh yes the “clean energy future” seems to be the one that may be used for a long time, the whole idea of shutting down power stations is beyond ridiculous. This whole climate change rubbish is really driving me crazy, besides these stupid ads the Government are running, we are also getting the “green crap” in a lot of ordinary ads as well. I have just about given up on the TV.

Haven’t watched TV in about fifteen years. Turn yours off for a month – see what it does for your marriage and your relationship with your kids (assuming you have either.)

Wot no rugby? On Thu, Fri, Sat and Sun I watch Super Rugby and, now it’s ended, NZ’s ITM Cup provincial matches, many of those players could walk into the woeful Wallabies (plus video 3 club matches each Saturday afternoon). In between there’s National Geographic to travel the world and zero free to air, no politics, none of this Bolt on Sunday stuff – that’s for enjoying the sun and sea!

The missus? I hear you ask. Yes – ummm – yes, I did see her here last summer sometime, in the kitchen I think.

The children are goooorn, son married and raising two future front rowers and a sister to watch them play; and I sold the 3 girls to feeeelthy capitalists. Who occassionally escape to watch the games with me. 🙂

      • Yes Winston you are spot on. Turning off the TV for a month sounds like a great idea. But I have an awful feeling this is going to go on for a long time yet.
I have a great Hubby, no kids. (He is also sick and tired of seeing this climate change crap) The 2 of us without TV the mind boggles. 😆

The latest in Brisbane restaurants, “Organic Char”:

    http://www.bnecity.com.au/StoreInformation.aspx?id=28161

According to the blurb in the Courier-Mail (who gives it 42/50)

“Even the wines are classified as organic, biodynamic and low-carbon”

You will also be delighted to know that the” light, bright, white spaces” of the restaurant are illuminated by “large lime-green dome lights”

Isn’t Organic Char a contradiction in terms?

    Is everyone NUTS?

        Amazing! :-O

        • Elsie, I think everyone is just out to make as much money as possible on the green theme, but of course some of them are NUTS. 🙂

magsx2, I am sure the owners arent nuts! I was thinking of the adoring Courier-Mail restaurant critic who went there and paid their expensive prices to save the planet. They probably offer Carbon Credits with dessert.:-)

    • As they say, come in spinner!
