  1. Hi,
That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen, so firefox and chrome are doing it. I wonder in a sense if that is actually legal, because they are saying that your IP address will be hacked, regardless of which Murdock site you go onto. I think that should be challenged.

    • To be clear, it’s not the people at Firefox and Chrome doing it per se. Anyone with the programming skills can create apps for Firefox or Chrome.

    • No, they’re not saying anything of the sort. They’re letting users know that they’re doing business with a Murdoch-empire business. It’s not a bad idea to warn people about such things.

      • Yep. Because a free press is the last thing people should want. It makes things so tricky for governments trying to do their best for us as we can see now in Australia.

Yeah, I’m a bit like you goneforever35 – I too couldn’t understand Murdoch’s Australian and the Telegraph recommending a vote for Labor at the last Federal election either. In those circumstances I can appreciate and share your confusion in Labor attacking them as visciously as they do.

Apparently some people learn their techy stuff via the rumour net. And, apparently, US ‘journalists’ are less technically adept than their Brit peers.

    Cheers

        Is this what you’re having?

    • UPDATE

Guessing blotter paper wasn’t used with ink in your world, either πŸ˜‰

May one reminisce one’s first year on the peninsula? FF to first visit back to Oz. There was Jackass… and then then there was this…

    • Damn. You are one muthafuckin’ hippie. I grew up with Roxette, Transvision Vamp, Summer ’87, Janet Jackson, Michael Jackson’s new Black and White clip presented by Molly Meldrum, a cat, Poison, Alice Cooper, lego, Lesuire Suit Larry, secret durries with a white aboriginal (shhh, don’t tell Bolt) mate and a dad who thought all classical music was inferior unless it was Mozart or Beethoven or Bach (why I was called James… so the initials matched).

And then my older brother, a doctor now no less, played this…. and everything changed.

Led Zep and all that shit came after…

Still know the lyrics of Appetite for Destruction virtually by heart to this day.

      • PS Posted this a billion times, but just in case you didn’t catch it… a fav.

      • And finally…

        But who else?

Love it! I should point out I survived DISCO…

        • Might play tomorrow. Not wrecking the Metallica buzz.

          • Actually finished with U2’s Vertigo…. anyway…

Unrelated: I just watched the last episode of “Angry Boys”. I really like the show, it is funny. My sister went to the Prince of Wales recently to see S.Mouse! live.

This final episode is a must watch, even if its for the moment when S.Mouse breaks in to the big time with his new hit single, “Sqashed Nigga”. Imagine the outrage if Andrew Bolt made these jokes?

this is a better clip. It’s amazing how much easier it is to get away with a bit of boot polish on the ABC!
