How could a generation grow up so stupid?

Here’s a possible reason.

“OCCUPYWALLSTREET Teacher support sunday Oct 2 2011”

JFTR, I’m not bagging all teachers. FFS, I am one, and so is “A Conservative Teacher” on the blogroll.

But enough students seem to have been exposed to enough teachers like the ones above that it has caused yet another case of Blair’s Law.

PS Despite the record cold winter last year, despite this year so far being even colder, yup, the global warming posters are back in the classrooms over here.

My favourite is a personified Earth with a campfire underneath it thus making the clouds cry.

  1. Hi,
I hate to think what the generation will be like that are going through the school systems at the moment, the green movement seems to be winning I feel in this respect. It is frightening to know that this is happening world wide.

I just noticed your “Government license to publish pending” at the top of your blog, I love it well done. 🙂

    • Here we go. Looks like everyone will have to be careful what they say.

“INTERNET giant Google has lost a landmark legal battle that is expected to open the floodgates to online litigation against anonymous online commentators.
The Supreme Court yesterday ordered Google Australia to release details of those behind a website that labelled Gold Coast entrepreneur and self-help guru Jamie McIntyre a “thieving scumbag”.”

This is getting beyound the ridiculous. It seems some Judges are not thinking things through at all.

Oh for goodness sake. This is getting out of hand. I think xxxx xxxxxxx xxxxx xxxxx xxxxxxxx xxxx xxx xxxx xxxxxx xxxxx! xxxxx xxxxx xxxxx xxxxx xxx xxx x xxx xx xxx xxxxxx xxxx. That about covers it. What do you guys say?

Time to go listen to BB’s Friday Night Party Music. Can’t get into any trouble there. 😆

        • That’s why there’s FNPM. One can’t presume to judge racial vilification being determined by tone despite a couple of minor errors , inconsequential to a main argument’s thrust being, “Hey, let’s look beyond race, and if you wanna call it a race, call it the Human Race,” how anyone’s week has been, but being a political semi-junkie, Friday’s mood after hearing all the polly parrot goss probably does determine the general (fukn can’t say it) viiiibe of what will be played.

With any luck to an electronica head, it will reflect somewhat on the political, yet social also, week, working week, that has passed.

For non-arts majors, it means I play what I want.

    • Thanks. It was “Standing up whilst sitting down” which I thought was very pithy (standing up for what you believe in whilst, since it’s a blog, sitting down – one of the greatest ever badoom tish puns… ever), but I decided to change it because just as Murdoch’s threats to put media behind paywalls sucks*, so is the powers-that-be proposal to licence the media, perhaps even individual journalists.

      *Here, too.

I loved “Standing up whilst sitting down”, but then it is within reason to keep up with the times; and anyways, you could be prosecuted for saying such things if someone were to be offended by your pithy remarks. Not being of the hard Left, and all. (Reading between the lines, you’re probably safe as it was a one liner. Eh!)

You’re a darn trouble maker, BB and must be stopped!

        • Even Blair couldn’t publish a few comments.

Wedding last W/E, met some old chummos. Didn’t push it and the anti PC was welcomed.

Imagine someone was done/found guilty up in a civil court NOT a criminal court.

… for leading a pack rape.

          Fancy that.

Hypothetically speaking, someone found in a civil court to have lead pack rapes, is the same person taking part in watershed legal action restricting freedom of speech.

You know, ‘coz maybe the poor woman being raped by a pack of feral thugs said no, but was denied her freedom of speech.

Aside from my sister, what other worthy teachers are there?

BTW: Does anybody know what happened to Terry McCrann. He has been missing for about 8 weeks from the the Herald Sun???? Just wondering.

    • Vacation? Cancer?

OH! Hope all is well. (It all clicks!)
My best mate from high school is worried about her Dad at the moment, as he just got through Chemo etc… What the medics can do today is amazing. Although it is hard, I hope T is doing OK and with love and support is getting through it. Much respect.

        • I didn’t say he has it. I don’t know why he hasn’t been there. For all I know, he’s raving hard in Ibiza.

          • Now that’s a thought. Party Animal McCrann wowing the senoritas!
Seriously, though, I hope it’s nothing more than a holiday. McCrann is one of the rare few in our media who can cut through the crap and isn’t afraid to swim against the tide.

I’d pay money to see that 🙂

  2. But to the main subject of this post – it sounds like San Francisco 1968!
    Quoting this item:
“I’m down here because we’re creating a space, as an alternative to oppressive society,” said Hampshire College student Jack Laxson, who traveled from his school in Massachusetts to Zuccotti Park on the first day of the “occupation.”…The Kansas native doesn’t have a specific grievance, at least none he cared to articulate. “I don’t have goals besides this creative open space that’s reuniting a lot of people who’ve been fractionally divided by the oppressive class,” he said.
I’m young and I’m angry and I don’t know why but I’m sure it’s something someone else has done.

    • And they don’t get the irony that they’re totally dependent on donations.

  3. Thanks for the shout-out 🙂

    • No worries. There’s a good reason your blog is listed here. 🙂
