A microcosm of liberalism

Fascinating in a kind of moribund way…

“Every single night it’s the same thing. I mean, some guy was a victim of rape!” an officer snarls*. “There comes a time when it’s over. This is a disaster. It’s all we’re doing, every two seconds, is locking somebody up every time. It’s done.

“It’s done,” he repeats. “Occupy Wall Street is no longer a protest.”

And how about all the special interest groups?

It’s a leaderless bazaar that’s been divided into state-like camps — with tents packed together so densely that the only way to add more would be to stack them.

And despite an NYPD watchtower overhead and the entire north side of Zuccotti lined with police vehicles, it is quickly becoming one of the most dangerous places in New York City.

It brings to mind that the only reason the liberalism we see out in “regular” society can only be sustained because of its still relatively small reach. What we are seeing with the OWS movement is liberalism, pure and undiluted.

They speak of theft, about government infiltrators and tales of Rikers Island castoffs being dropped off to roam and ravage the site.

From underneath my blanket, I hear allegations of financial corruption and intimidation over sexual orientation.

“I’m in a tent that keeps getting flooded, ransacked and robbed,” fumes a transgender group leader — a female who identifies as a male.

And to think some idiots gave those idiots $750,000 to play with.

No – and ironically of course – no, there won’t be any corruption with that one.

Also ironic?

“There was another girl raped by the same man,” she said from a table in the McDonald’s, which has become the headquarters of the revolution.

It’s a place to meet, to get warm, to scarf down dollar-menu grub and to use the bathroom that becomes increasingly vile as the night goes on.

That’s right. The local McDonald’s is the headquarters. I mean, you couldn’t get food that’s any more corporate than McDonald’s and yet it’s HQ for these befuddled, disparate anti-corporatists.

It’s time to end this failed experiment.

*And the STD clinic is overflowing.

  1. I see you are reading up on the circus. The only thing sustaining them is the media. They desperately need a foil for the Tea party, yet they picked the wrong star to hitch their wagon to.

In my own city, the local Tea party is suing the city to recover $8,500 in fees and expenses for the rallies they held (that never had to be cleaned up after). It seems the city did not charge the occupy group the same fees, so they are suing under the “equal justice” clause. The mayor finally ousted the hobos here, but it took them 2 days and a bull dozer to clean the filth up.

Surely you're thinking something...
