Er, a point of order

Has anyone else noticed the hand signal OWS protesters use for “point of order” looks disturbingly like a certain other hand gesture used in sign language that made the news recently?

LOL, reminds me of something from years ago, when I was part of the deaf community. We had a deaf bloke from the USA down to visit for a few weeks. Which of course meant that we were saying the word “America” in sign language a lot, to each other and to our guest. Until, oops, somebody told us that the Oz sign for “America” means something very rude in American sign language! Which explained some rather baffling behaviour of our guest when we thought we were just being friendly!

    • Too funny!

    • And tell Brennan to keep fighting.

    No I didn’t notice, and No, I didn’t care.
Can we talk about breasts now?

If we’re going to talk about breasts can we include guns, poledancers and motorcycle racing.

the sign for vagina is actually more of a triangle than the O. i know this, because when my daughter was diagnosed deaf, i learned not to make up signs! was actually asking her if she wanted to eat pu$$y – bad mom

    • So that would mean the Oregon team gesture is similar to – ahem – whilst the OWS “point of order” gesture is an exact match, right?
