So PM Gillard has done a cabinet reshuffle; rewarding some, punishing others, and sparing even Kevin Rudd.

The bit that really caught my eye was the following, however…

In a compromise deal, Ms Gillard was forced to expand her Cabinet by one, to 21, to keep Mr McClelland in Cabinet. However, he will be moved aside into a new ministry of national security.

A new ministry of national security?

    He’ll carry the keys of the nation, and be responsible to lock all the outside doors every night. And check the ashtrays to ensure all cigarettes have been properly extinguished.
