Margaret Thatcher

So Hollywood’s liberal Left is coming out with a movie about Margaret Thatcher (and if you need an explanation for who she is, then maybe this isn’t the post for you).

I was only a pup when she and Reagan ruled the free world, and I love hearing an older American mate reminisce about “Ronnie”.

And although I love all the convenience of our modern world, hearing my mate or reading the comments at the link makes one almost, in a sense, “miss” that era.

I’m pretty sure some of my readers are a bit past their early 30s however, so…

Story time folks. You’re more than welcome to pass on your thoughts about the movie (and it’s timing), but it’s actually the stories, the memories, that I’m really after.

I haven’t seen it (not available yet- tho will be tomorrow) but I think it’s disgraceful that Meryl acts as Maggie in her dotage, with film clips of her past. Seems very leftoid, unsympathetic, even cruel. Talk about pc double standards…bah, humbug.

Welcome to Hollywood, mabba. Every story, if possible has to have a left slant. Pack of class warfare lunatics who will be first up against the wall when the revolution comes…

I remember being in the field in ’81 when we were busily nurturing a rumour that we might be invited down south to participate in their exercises. Unfortunately we ended up confined to watching the news.

Interestingly, one of the “After-Action Reports” noted that, “… few new lessons were learned, but many old lessons were relearned”.

    Cheers
