Friday Night Party Music

Unless you’re a member of the ALP Cabinet Kevin Rudd, feel free to contribute and/or comment. Also, consider this an open thread.

Ahh, Fridays… from a teacher’s perspective. 😉

OK. Down to business. Gratefully ripped from a clip Sean of Deer Park posted in last week’s FNPM comments section. Cheers!

More to come any luck… 😎

As per usual, I only listen to the start of a mix (and maybe sometimes skip ahead to check a sample here or there), and the following – should kick in just after sunset – is exactly what I was looking for. Here’s hoping it turns out well. Enjoy! PS Hope you like the pic, too…

Well, that fuckin’ sucked. Goes silent after a bit.

Wanna read a ripping yarn whilst you (don’t) listen? Then click no further. A mate of mine over here. Yep, we get some travellers…

Gimme a minute…

OK. Having waded through a river of shit, This could perhaps resurrect the night…

Man, WTF? with that last mix???

Point: most Euro house sucks these days… and deep down everyone knows it’s the economy.

Anyway, a defiant mix, David Guetta… but it’s barely hanging on.

Nup.

Let’s try that DJ SCHan again. NO. Dude, the background pic looks like a giant freckled anus.

Here. Not bad, but whatever…

The best mixes were clearly exhausted last year and we are yet to witness the future.

Funny anecdote but, the grade 5 teacher – and in Korea this is right at the end of the LAST year (the new school year starts in March), taught her kids some shufflin’.

Cripes, every intro sound like the end of a movie, and whenever the beat gets going, it sounds so plastic…

HALP!!!

Fuck it. Finally.

And a DJ mate saves the day with this follow-up.

Mighty Fools.

They’re doin’ all right; getting there.

And Sean comes to the rescue also.

Indeed: back to the masters.

Man, if I could only find a full-length Benny Benassi set…

I’m wary but, Sean. Last thing I need is a soft mix (only drink on weekends nowadays so now is important) … and with you putting up Digweed… look, he’s great, but that hard edge is needed at this early hour.

Am noticing the SHM US set is quite different in its overall feeling to their EU/UK sets. Whilst good, the EU/UK sets were far superior.

Seems to be hard to find anything worth while lately. I’ve been looking for some Seb Fontaine but everything is short, no mixes. A shame as he practically invented what you really like. When all else fails, it’s good to go back to Oakenfold, Fontaine, (SHM – yes, good pick); back to the masters.

Oh, hang on what’s this… I found some Digweed. See how it goes… usually he builds to something worthwhile.

    • We played this one before… but yes, a worthy repeat.

As is the SHM Creamfields I’m about to repost…

From here to there to everywhere, all over the air, and the sky, why?
Because there’s always a party no matter what.

    • That’s what I don’t get. FLG mixes usually piss me off. Yet this mix…

    • Lasted 12 min with flg the had to do shm cream fields…

Sorry ’bout not being much help last night Binger’s. Was having a movie night so couldn’t really concentrate.

When you get a chance, make sure you read this thread at Bolt’s (everyone click on this link).

This interview is wonderful and could not have come at a better time. The general thrust is the IPCC is a political group, the SUN is responsible for “warming” (hello) and this bloke is exposing the IPCC in a new book.

So, what is that CO2 Tax for again? Why is it going to be imposed on Australians on the 1st of July? And will Abbott now finally concede he was right all along when he said it was “Crap” in the first place?

What? No 50’s or 60’s music. Now THAT was music.

    • For something more akin to that, you’d have to pop over to Paco’s.

      BTW, Sean, what movie(s)?
