FNPM: The Dark Night Rises special ed.

Interesting week to sit back on. PM Gillard claims her innocence, pisses off overseas, and a bunch of union thugs defy the Supreme Court, and stage their illegal blockades.

Then in comes former union heavyweight, shortarse Bill Shorten billing himself as some kind of independent umpire.

What a fukn joke.

FWA: what a crock that is. The ABCC was doing a stellar job. So much so, Gillard made sure that one was got rid of a few months ago before the looming shitstorm hit shore.

What a crock.

Ho hum. At least we have US politics getting interesting again.

Clint Eastwood nailed it best. Politicians are our employees (always remember that), and if an employee isn’t doing their job, you gotta let ’em go. And a lawyer in Office? Shit. With 23 million unemployed and the bloke running up $5 trillion in debt in three and a half years, best give a businessman a shot.

Shifting gears a bit – and carpe and his missus might take issue – but Japan has been testing the waters again recently.

They’re taking on China, Russia, and South Korea over island territorial disputes whilst also talking to the North Koreans for the first time in four years.

Up north, they want back some islands the Russians grabbed after WWII.

Down south, they want some islands China has nowadays.

In the East Sea (you wanna call it Sea of Japan? LBB just fried one of your nuts.), they want Dokdo aka Takashima aka the Lian Court Rocks.

What’s interesting about the last two, is that there are huge reserves of hydrocarbons surrounding both chunks.

Now consider that with Japan’s push to move their self-defence military beyond those capabilities and it starts getting interesting.

(BTW, Korea will unleash everything but the kitchen sink on Japan if they have a go at Dokdo. They’ve put up with more than 1000 years of Japanese attacks. Do not underestimate how Korea feels about Dokdo.)

Speaking of having had a gut, it’s looking that way re Israel vs Iran. It’s really coming to a head. FFS, Iran really wants to build that bomb. Obama ain’t doing shit. Don’t even bother with the EU. In one sense, Israel should be reassured. Exactly. What will Obambi and those Eurotards do?

Ha!

And yet the prize wise guy, sorry… GAL, wants to set her useless carbon dioxide trace gas tax to the EU baloney index.

You didn’t have to, Julia.

You’ve done enough already to kill the mining boom.

I’m guessing she’ll blame Abbott. Or Bush.

But hey. Let’s talk about something good.

OK. Something good is Smartfones. If you don’t have one, then… well.

Scanning documents, instant chat, TV, movies, weather, porn.

You name it.

GPS navigation, any internet surfing you want, even the capacity to call someone.

Audio, video, stereo, 5.1

Well, it’s understood we all hate Apple now for the bullshit they pulled on Samsung. Won’t go on about that one…

In the meantime, LG have thrown even the kitchen sink at their latest, the Optimus G.

A quick check, and this brutal baby blows the Galaxy S3 outta the creche, and Apple, well, TBH I don’t see much happening by October.

You didn’t hear it from me, but the LG execs are very confident yet also very anxious.

Why?

Because this smartphone, the Optimus G, blows everything outta the water…

But if it doesn’t sell, they’re fucked.

Not necessarily monetarily fucked but fucked fucked.

They threw everything at this. LG Chem for the battery (40% better), LG this, LG that… screen tech, all the shit LG does. Yes. They nuked the phone.

The phone is a behemoth.

That said, I’ve been telling them, begging them almost – PLEEEAAASE! – after service! support! upgrades! (Jelly bean!), promotion?

!!!

Currently on Samsung Galaxy SII, because they’re just so damn reliable.

Reliable.

I suspect the galaxy s3 is, too. Am looking forward to those reports, LG. GRRRR! You have a lot of trust to win back, (AHHHHHLOT!!!) and now… you have a chance.

LG Optimus G? I’ll wait till after 12 Sep.

    Cheers

    • Didn’t think it was until October …

That would be for the next iPad version. On the other hand, Apple generally announces a product presentation about seven days prior. Thus the latest dates, and the associated product announcements remain putative.
In June, Apple held a Conference, for which the dates were quite firm in the rumour mill, but the confirmation only came when Apple announced ticket sale as of seven days prior. Incidentally, the tickets were gone in under two hours.

        • Ahhh. OK. And then iPhone5 in October…

            12 Sep for iPhone;
? Oct for iPad mini …
            so goes the rumour net.

            Cheers
